BRYAN, SALLY LUCAS Age 86, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 after a long illness. Sally was born September 28, 1926 to Charles Cummins Lucas and Louise Linebaugh Lucas of Houston, TX. She is survived by her sister, Margaret C. Hawk; daughter, Carrie Bryan Atkins and husband, John; step-granddaughter, Addie Delahoussaye and husband, Dayne; step-grandson J. R. Atkins and wife, Cori; and great-grandchildren, Lily, Jane, Claire, and Jack. She is also survived by her close friend, Betty Sharrer; and her beloved dog, Clayton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 63 years, Garlan D. Bryan, Jr.; brother-in-law, Robert M. Hawk; and lifelong friends Frances Reed and Martha Barron. She enjoyed volunteering, and spent many years as a "book lady" at the Animal Humane Thrift Store. According to Sally's wishes, private services will be held at a later date.
