Obituary for TONISSI

TONISSI, FLORENCE went peacefully home to her Lord and Savior on January 4, 2013. She was born in Framingham, MA on June 10, 1921 to Ernest and Gladys Fisher. She was a member of Wellesley Baptist Church and was employed by the Town Clerk's Office during the years she lived and worked in Wellesley. In her early fifty's Florence came out west to attend Christ for the Nations in Dallas. After graduation she came to Albuquerque making it her home. Florence was an accomplished actress and performed at numerous Little Theater and off-Broadway venues from New York to Albuquerque. A few of the productions in which she played a role were "A Streetcar Named Desire," "Anna Karenina" and "My Fair Lady." She was a member of The Vintage Players in Albuquerque. Florence was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Katherine M. Curran. She is survived by her son, Peter Tonissi; daughter-in-law Deborah; grandsons Ellis and Parker Tonissi of Chestnut Hills, MA; nieces Cindy Cimo and Kathy Roderick of Medfield, MA and Lisa Johnston of Bridgton, ME; nephew Alan Thompson of Rockport, MA; cousin Harriet Fisher of Natick, MA; and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was a faithful member of Glory Christian Fellowship in Albuquerque and will be missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and burial will take place at the family plot in Wellesley, MA. A memorial service will be held at Glory Christian Fellowship, 2421 Wyoming Blvd. Albuquerque, NM at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 13, 2013.
