CASAUS, CHARLES T. Age 88, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, January 2, 2013. He is survived by his wife, of 60 years Mary Jane Casaus; sons, Dory Casaus and wife, Linda, Mark Casaus and wife, Mary Carol; daughter, Sheree Castillo, and husband, Tony; grandchildren, David Casaus, Anthony Casaus, Vincent Castillo, Aaron Castillo, Patrick Castillo, Andrea Simms, Christina Rodriguez, Amanda Casaus, Nicole Casaus; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Alex, Luke, Dawson, Emeric, Genevieve, Abraham and Michael. Charles was preceded in death by his father, Juan B. Casaus; mother, Antonia Casaus; one brother, and eight sisters. Mr. Casaus was a Veteran of World War II where he served in the South Pacific. Charles retired from the Post Office after 27 years. He will always be remembered as being a very good father, grandfather and great grandfather. Charles was very loving and caring to his family and was an extremely hard worker. He enjoyed wrought iron sculpting and watching boxing. Mr. Casaus was a proud member of American Legion Post 13. He was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited January 7, 2013, 5:00 p.m. at Lomas Chapel with Visitation one hour prior. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on January 8, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas and Tennessee, Albuquerque. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with full military honors. Pallbearers will be David Casaus, Anthony Casaus, Vincent Castillo, Aaron Castillo, Patrick Castillo and Dawson Chandler.
