Obituary for EASTMAN

EASTMAN, LARRY (DONALD L) 1932-2012 born in Columbus, Ohio August 31, 1932, a resident of Bosque Farms, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the age of 80. He proudly served in-country, in the US Air Force during the Korean War near Taegu AB, South Korea. He worked for a number of years in the flight test data department at North American Aviation, in Ohio, and discovered the Land of Enchantment, New Mexico when he was sent to Kirtland AFB on a flight test mission. After moving here he changed careers to long haul trucking from which he retired. Larry was an avid hunter, fisherman, wood worker and all around outdoorsman. He was never happier than when he was in the mountains of NM, on his beloved mule Christine, and with his hunting buddies. He was a member of The Presbyterian Church, Teamsters Union, Back Country Horsemen, NRA, New Mexico Wood turners, and VFW. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Helen Eastman. He is survived by his loving wife and friend of 49 and half years, Sharon M Eastman; children, Patricia L. Eastman, Robert K. Eastman, David P. Eastman and Mary Helen Eastman and husband, Dr. Jim Clary; grandchildren, Susannah and her husband Carl Drake, Cathy Jeffers, Allison Eastman, Cortney Eastman, Adam Eastman, Jonathan Clary, and Sarah Clary (Black); and great-grandchildren, Mysti, Malakai, and Andrew. A memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 18, at 11:00 a.m., at the Bosque Farms Rodeo Arena Building (Cowboy Hall), 1040 Arena Road. At the memorial, dress is casual because Larry was never the suit and tie kind of guy!
