STEIN, PAUL Paul passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents: Charles and Margaret; brother, Charles; and sister, Dorothy. Paul is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary J. Stein; sons: Paul Jr. and step-sons: Jake Savedra and wife, Roseann, and Johnny Savedra; daughter: Maria Stein and husband, Roger Soto, step-daughters: Rosemarie Oakleaf and husband, Walter, Anita Chavez and husband, Fermin, Elicia Cooksey, Josie Walters and husband, Paul; and sister, Pauline Gabaldon; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Paul was a U.S. Navy veteran with a WWII Victory Medal. He was also a boxer for the Navy and New Mexico Golden Gloves and played semi-pro baseball and continued to play Old Timers Softball League. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and served as president of the Mail Handlers Union for many years.
