LOPEZ, SEVERA G. Age 100, died on Tuesday, November 7, 2012 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born August 13, 1912 to Juan and Lucia Gonzales in Trujillo, NM. She is survived by her daughter, Victoria Esquibel of Alb; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Gonzalez of Las Vegas, NM and Rose Turner of Aurora,CO. She is preceded in death by her husband: Alfredo Lopez; and two sons Camilo Lopez; Henry Lopez. Severa's young adult life was spent as postmaster in Trujillo, NM, moving to Las Vegas, NM in 1952. She moved to Albuquerque in 1960 where she worked at the sanitary laundry. Upon her retirement she moved to Las Lunas and returned to farming alongside Alfredo. "Mame" enjoyed sewing,selling at the flea market and playing bingo where she made many friends. She will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. with Rosary to follow starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Riverside Funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday where a Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at the Church of the Risen Savior at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Chris Lopez, John Lerma, Christopher Standard, Steven Standard, Gabriel Esquibel, Rafael Archuleta. Arrangements by Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo, NE.
