WILLIAMS, RICHARD Age 73, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012. He was born in Seven Pines, TX on April 4, 1939 to Thomas Thaddus and Lavania Elijah (Baxter) Williams. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Raymond. Richard is survived by his wife of 49 years, Wanda, his children; Rick Williams and wife Sharon, Debbie McCray and husband Scott, Tracy Williams and wife Michelle and Jeff Williams and Tracy Williams, all of Rio Rancho. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, Johnnie Booth and husband Don, Roy Williams and wife Sarah, Betty Faircloth and husband Wayne, Nita Kennedy, Nina Rayne, Riley Williams and wife Darlene and Carolyn Wortham as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In 1996, Richard retired from IMC Potash Mines in Carlsbad and then moved to Rio Rancho. He retired from Intel in 2003. Hunting was one of Richard's hobbies but his biggest joy and his main loves were his family. He was "Papa" to his grandchildren and also endeared himself to his wife and children. His presence and his influence will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Grace Outreach Center, 2900 Southern Blvd SE in Rio Rancho with the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. also at Grace Outreach Center. Interment, with Navy military honors, will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park at Sara Road and Meadowlark Lane SE in Rio Rancho.
