MONROE, PERSCILLA Age 85, passed away October 31, 2012 at home in Albuquerque surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Charles A. Monroe Sr.; children, Charles A. Monroe Jr. and wife, Melinda, of Spokane, WA; Josephine Sanchez and husband, Sigie of Rio Rancho, NM; Cynthia Valle and husband, Dan of El Paso, TX, Judith M. Long of Kansas City, MO; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; her sister, Toni Martinez and husband, Edward and many other family and friends. Mrs. Monroe was preceded in death by her parents, Reyes and Antonia Segura. Perscilla graduated with a business degree and worked as an executive secretary for Skaggs-Alpha Beta before retiring. She was a member of the Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Parish and was also active with her husband in the American Legion Post # 13 serving as Auxiliary President. Mrs. Monroe enjoyed family life and traveled extensively with her husband. Perscilla's faith in God was unfailing and she was loved by all who knew her. Her humor and her care for others will not be forgotten. A Memorial Rosary will be recited Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at French - Lomas and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Road NE. Ennichement will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
