Obituary for BRYAN

BRYAN, JAMES P. (RED) Age 85, passed away peacefully Sept. 22, 2012 surrounded by his children. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on Aug. 20, 1927 to Frank and Ruth (Payton) Bryan. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed in Japan. After the war, Red attended Kansas University for an Architecture degree, where he met his wife, Marg (Porter). After university, Red worked as an architect, building inspector and commissioner in suburban Chicago. Red was an active member and supporter of his community, an avid bowler and bridge player. Red was a charter and active member of Faith United Methodist Church, Lisle, IL and the Lisle Heritage Society. He was also an unabashed Cubs fan and a long time volunteer at the Lisle Invitational, Boy Scouts, and Kiwanis. He, along with his smile and humor, will be greatly missed by all that knew him. "You are resting now dear father, be in peace." He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Marg; his parents; and his brother, Payton. He is survived by his children Stu, Paul and his wife, Alexa, Jean Tessier and her husband, Greg, Rob and his wife, Marlene; and ten grandchildren Rena and husband, Pete, Alivia, Kevin, Genevieve, Bryan, Gwendolyn, Garrett, Alex, Vincent and Isaac; and other numerous relatives and friends. A memorial will take place on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at 2:00pm at La Vida Llena, 10501 Lagrima de Oro, Albuquerque, NM.
