SANCHEZ, DOROTHY A. was born April 9, 1954 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the age of 58. Dorothy will be remembered as a loving prayer warrior, who cared and loved others very much. She was continually attentive to the needs of others and often helped people with disabilities. Dorothy was loved and treasured by many and will be greatly missed by her beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Filomeno Sanchez. Dorothy is survived by her son, Martin Lovato; daughters, Bernadette Garcia and husband Larry; Telene Lovato and husband Richard Montoya; brothers, Nick Sanchez Jr., Leroy Sanchez, Patrick Sanchez and David Sanchez; sisters, Mary Garcia and Christine Sanchez; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who will remember her in their hearts forever. Services will be held at New Beginnings Church, 3601 Montgomery NE. on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery in Bernalillo, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be Louie R. Estrada, Joseph Garcia, Richard Garcia Jr., Joshua Johnson, Isaac Montano and Leroy Sanchez Jr. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW.
