NEELY, LOUIS C. Age 93, a lifelong resident of NM, passed away on Monday surrounded by his loving family. Born in Roswell, NM in 1918 to James and Ida Neely. Louis was married to Lucille Nance of Cason, TX for 67 years. A true "Love Story" Louis was a electrician In his early days, and helped light up Route 66 when he worked for Zeon Signs. Other survivors include, daughter, Linda Neely Wood, and husband David; son, James L. Neely ( deceased); grandsons, Michael D. Wood, wife Donna, children Bradley and Aubrey, Darren D. Wood, wife Kristen, Jeff Neely, wife Sandy, children Alexis and Connor, Mark Neely, wife Christa, baby son, Samuel; brother, Johnny Neely; sister, Wanda Engledorf, both of Roswell, NM. A Viewing will take place on Thursday, September 20th, 5pm - 8pm, at Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW. (4th between Candelaria and Menaul) Funeral and Committal Service will take place on Tuesday, September 25th at 11:15am at Santa Fe National Cemetery Chapel, Santa Fe, NM. Reverend Brenton Franks, officiating. Pall Bearers will be Michael Wood, Jeff Neely, Mark Neely, Darren Wood. Honorary pall bearers will be Bradley Wood & Pedro Balderas.
