HAMBLIN, JERRY DEAN Age 66, a long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away at his home after a brief illness. He was born September 22, 1945 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Lauren and Nettie Hamblin. Jerry served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. After the Army he worked for Albuquerque Municipal Schools as a Security guard, and later for Furr's Cafeterias. A quiet, cautious, yet amicable man, Jerry was courteous, gracious and considerate, with a kind heart for animals. He liked electronics, particularly short-wave radios, and reading. Jerry will be missed, especially his award-winning smile. Graveside services with full military honors will be conducted Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at 2:15 pm in the Santa Fe National Cemetery, under the direction of Riverside Funeral Home.
