DIX-SMITH, LELIA Lelia L. Dix-Smith, 89, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, died Friday, September 14, 2012. Lelia was preceded in death by her 1st husband of 53 years, Fenton W. Dix; her parents, William B. and Blanche Lingo; siblings Louise Cahlana, Monroe, Jim, Bobby, Walter and Burleigh Lingo. She is survived by husband Donald E. Smith of Peralta, NM; son, Kenneth (Teresa) Dix of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Martha (Richard) Brubaker, Dallas, TX; daughter Bobbie (Bill) Vance, Thornton, CO; stepchildren Brenda (Ted) Schlote, Randy (Bonnie) and Gary (Sandra) Smith. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren Susie Guy, Theresa (Artis) Tippie, Anita (Jeff) Watson of Dallas, TX, Lane (Melissa) Vance of West Palm Beach, FL and Aaron Dix of Albuquerque, NM and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Lelia was a member of Peralta Memorial United Methodist Church. Viewing will be Monday, September 17, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., French Funerals and Cremations, 1111 University Blvd NE. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 22 at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow - Peralta Memorial United Methodist Church, 25 Wesley Rd, Peralta, NM.
