SISTO "SONNY" 1931 - 2012 age 81, a resident of Adelino, NM passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. He was a member the Farm Bureau and Machinist Union. In his early career he was a foreman for the Matisa Railweld in Chicago Heights, Ill. Sonny retired in 1986 after 26 years for the AT&SF Railroad in Albuquerque. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, farming and growing hot chili. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Baca; mother, Martinia Marquez Baca; and siblings, Adelena, Aaron, Lucy, Frances, Eva, Priscilla and Floyd. Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Laura Baca; children, Robin and husband, Dale Stevenson, Annette and husband, Perry Sherwood, Louis and wife, Carol Baca, Julie Baca and boyfriend, Bobby Dearing; grandchildren, Annette and Josh Meyer, Leann and Brian Jenkins, Eric Jojola, Ashley Baca, Dominique and Tim Albright, Travis and Clint Chavez; great-grandchildren, Jasmyn, Scarlett, Alena and Brayden; and sister, Lena Mumme and husband, Bud. He is also survived by many loving, cousins, nieces and nephews. All services will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, beginning with a visitation on Saturday, September 8, at 9:30 a.m. with a Memorial Mass to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date.
