Obituary for FINK

GLENN D. REV. Age 81, an Albuquerque resident since 2000, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, September 5, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Janette Fink; four children, Michael Fink and wife, Janice; Amy Warner and husband Reid; Robert Fink and wife, Helen; John Fink and wife, Leona; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Maude (Culp) Fink; brother, Lowell Fink; and granddaughter, Kristan Fink. Glenn was born February 17, 1931 in Elkhart, IN to Irvin and Maude (Culp) Fink. He graduated from Wakarusa High School in Wakarusa, IN in 1949. He loved to play all sports. He participated in basketball, baseball, track and cross-country. Glenn married his high school sweetheart, Janette Hartman in 1950. To this union four children were born, Michael of Henderson, NE, Amy, Robert, and John of Albuquerque. In the early years of marriage, he worked at the Northern Indiana Brass Company in Elkhart, IN, The Honey Crust Bakery in Goshen, IN and the Studebaker Corporation in South Bend, IN. He then was a dairy farmer until 1960, when he enrolled at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Moody in 1963. From 1963 to 1993, he pastored churches in Iowa, Minnesota, Arizona, Texas, Colorado, Indiana, and New Mexico. During his ministry, he founded two churches and two Christian schools. Glenn also directed the construction of two new church buildings. He was director of Indian Missionary Services of Glendale, Arizona for several years. He was also a funeral associate with French Mortuary from 2000 to 2007. Glenn was a member of Faith Bible Church at Moon and Central Avenue in Albuquerque. Through the years, Glenn suffered many health problems and ailments. He endured cancer, open heart surgery, Parkinson's disease plus more than twenty surgeries. "He fought the good fight, he finished the race, he kept the faith. Now there is in store for him the Crown of Righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge will award to all who have longed for His appearing." (2 Timothy 4:7) Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012, 2:00 pm at Faith Bible Church, 9600 Central Ave SE, Moon and Central Ave, with Pastor David Broersma and Rev. Michael Fink officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul NE. Friends may visit University, Friday, September 7, 2012 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
