Obituary for FRESQUEZ

ALVINO Age 84, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012. He was born on January 6, 1928. He and his wife Tillie were married 51 years. He proudly served his country in the Korean War. He worked for the telephone company approximately 30 years and then retired. Alvino enjoyed traveling and visiting his family who lived in various parts of the country and the world. When at home, his passion was fishing. He fished in almost all of the lakes in New Mexico including Cochiti, Bluewater, Elephant Butte, Santa Rosa, Roswell, and Heron. He was also a talented artist, and enjoyed working in his garden. He was a member of Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church. Alvino is survived by his three daughters, Diane Fresquez Hudson and husband Richard of Brussels, Belgium, Maureen Smith and husband Steve of Frisco, TX, and Arlene Fresquez Patrick and husband Mark, of Summit, NJ; five granddaughters; brothers and sisters, Prestina Sanchez-Davis of Albuquerque, Effie Fresquez Chavez of Albuquerque, Gloria Mendola and husband Peter of Roswell, NM; Linda Yrisarri of Anaheim, CA; Chris Fresquez and wife Marilyn of Belen, NM, and Anthony Fresquez and friend Gerri Candelaria of Rio Rancho, NM; and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont St. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
