LIAM (BILL) U.S. Marine (Guadalcanal-Korea) and thriller novel author, ended his 87-year tour of duty on this earth on Aug. 8, 2012 at his Albuquerque home. Known as the Irish weatherman and Mr. Fortune on KOAT-TV in '80s, State Fair Players '70s, voice of UNM -NMSU Aggie football in '60s. He was author of seven thriller novels while living in Monterey, CA. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Margie; her children Lori, Lee and Michael (Debbie) Taylor, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren Libby and Chris Chauvet, Nick and Steve Taylor, Matt Fitzgerald, Megan and Joshua Taylor; niece Gem McCurry-Hunter of Everett, WA; and countless friends around the world who remember his humor, intelligence and quick wit. He was a life member of VFW and American Legion, and remembrance gifts may be made to any veteran's service group. At his request, ashes will be scattered in Monterey Bay. Friends are asked to hoist a glass in his memory, recall old times, and care for each other.
