DONALD R. Age 77, passed away in Foster City, CA on July 13, 2012. Don was born on October 7, 1934 in Chicago, IL. He was raised in Evanston, IL and Chanute, KS before moving to Albuquerque in 1950 where he graduated from Highland High School in 1952. Don attended the University of New Mexico, with a stint in the Army, completing his BBA in marketing in 1959 and his MBA in accounting in 1966. During his time at UNM he was a very active member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and remained an active SAE Alumni leader until his death. Don was a successful businessman in California. He held many leadership positions in the banking industry and would later move on to the real estate industry, where he eventually owned several mortgage companies. His avid support was given to many community organizations and to the UNM Anderson School of Management where he served on the National Advisory Board and the Anderson Association. He is survived by his son Robert and two grandchildren in San Mateo CA. Don's life had a positive and wonderful influence on many. He was the True Gentleman, loved and respected as a special and giving person. Memorial services were held on August 3rd. Sneider Sullivan & O'Connell Funeral Home 977 S.
