Obituary for MOYA

ELOY Age 90, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 8, 2012, surrounded by his children. He is survived by his children, Camilla Baca (Julian), Jerome Moya (Cindy), Marie V. Gonzales (Ben), Frances Ana Chavez (Bob), Eugene Moya (Joann) and Eloy Moya (Yolanda); 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jimmy Moya (Carmen); and many nieces and nephews. Family would like to recognize the closeness of the Fileberto and Catalina Gonzales family to Eloy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Trinidad Moya of Santa Fe, NM; his loving wife, Rufina Moya; son, Raymond Moya; three brothers and five sisters. A special thank you goes to the Legion of Mary members, especially Robert Laguna. Eloy served in the United States Navy during World War II on the U.S.S. Sabine. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, served as a Eucharistic minister and was involved in the Legion of Mary, Spanish Choir, Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent de Paul. Eloy was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and will be greatly missed. Family and friends may visit French Lomas Chapel on Friday, August 10, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Rosary will also be recited on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lomas and Tennessee. Eloy will be laid to rest with his wife at Fairview Memorial Park. A reception will follow and will be announced.
