YVONNE CHARLENE Age 75, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012. Affectionately known as "purple grandma" by her grandchildren, Yvonne was born August 8, 1936 in Amarillo TX to parents Cecil and Yetta Garringer. She moved to Albuquerque as a child primarily to help her with her asthma, where she remained a lifelong resident. Yvonne loved the outdoors, painting, crafts-making, her dog Boots, and especially country western dancing. She would go two-stepping every chance she could. She loved the color purple, her little blue Ford truck and country music. Yvonne is survived by her son Troy Roerig, and wife Cassie; daughter Jenae Murray and husband Buck Murray; grandchildren Alexis Murray, Noah and Charlee Roerig; sister Julie Keating of Oregon; as well as cousins, nephews and nieces. Yvonne will always be remembered for her love for family, friends, her beautiful smile, her warm and forgiving heart, and her sense of humor. It was Yvonne's wishes to be cremated. Services and interment will be forthcoming.
