EMILIA Age 94, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012. She is survived by her children Mary Helen Flores, Sandy Hernandez, Emily Lopez and husband, Robert, Anthony E. Hernandez and wife, Margy, and Jose Manuel Hernandez and wife, Erlinda; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hernandez was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Hernandez; parents Guadalupe and Jose Isabel Velasco and brother Antonio Perez. Emilia was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Along with her husband, Manuel, she founded La Mexicana Tortilla Company initially located at 216 Silver SW. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover SW. Interment will take place Friday, August 3 at 9:45 am at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Gonzales, Derrek Gonzales, Michael Flores, Gregory Flores, Jose Hernandez, Jr., and Jeff Bechtold.
