SANFORD IRVING Born 8/8/1927 in Kansas City Missouri to parents Lillian and Tom Kahn. He passed away peacefully at home on Saturday July 28th 2012, surrounded by his family, after a fearless battle with cancer. He was married to the love of his life and his best friend Sharon Kahn for 62 years. Toward the end of World War II he served in the navy where he helped train fighter pilots. During his lifetime he attended Law School, and worked as a record salesman for Columbia Records at the height of Beatles mania. He owned Dictograph Security Alarm Systems, which he sold in 1990. Since then he has enjoyed a life of adventure traveling with family and friends. He loved to play golf and spend time surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Sandy is survived by his wife Sharon, children Marc (Paula), Rick, Carri (John Morgan) and Lori, and grandchildren, Jason, Kyle, Maddie, Lindsey, Zachary, Jack and Samuel Bridge, and numerous niece's nephews and dear friends. He was well loved by his extended family and friends. "And now, the end is here And so I face the final curtain My friend, I'll say it clear I'll state my case of which I am certain I've lived a life that's full I've traveled each and every highway And more, much more than this, I did it my way." Services will be held on Monday, July 30th at 2:00pm at Congregation Albert, 3800 Louisiana NE. In lieu of gifts, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Presbyterian Hospice.
