WANDA MARIE ROBINSON At the age of 59, Wanda passed away on 6/21/2012 in Albuquerque, NM after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. Ms. Buchmiller was born in Memphis, TN and moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1969. She was a graduate of Del Norte High School. Wanda was employed by the Albuquerque Police Department for 25 years as a dispatcher and retired in 2001 as a Communications Training Supervisor. She also worked at Sandia National Laboratory as a dispatcher for another five years. She will be affectionately remembered by many officers, Public Service Aides, and other police department personnel as "Operator 21". She was preceded in death by her mother: Estelle Holloway; father: James Robinson; beloved step-father: "Daddy Fred" Ballard; and dear "aunties": Polly and Margaret Tilley. She is survived by her sisters: Rhonda (Paul) Stanford and Donna Krapcha; niece: Penny (Sean) Bakke; and many beloved cousins and friends. Wanda was a Christian and loved her Lord Jesus! At the time of her death she was surrounded by her family and friends with many prayers by her side.
