MYRTLE ROSS Age 93, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, from pneumonia. She is survived by her sons, Charley Heard and wife, Linda of Castle Rock, CO, Troy Heard of Prattville, AL and Alvin Heard and wife, Linda of Plano, TX; her daughter, Virginia Brannan and husband, Gary of Shoreline, WA; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nephews, nieces, step-grandchildren and friends, many of whom affectionately called her Grandma or Granny. Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, James Taylor and Charity Frances Ross; her husband of 63 years, Troyce Heard; three brothers; and two sisters. Myrtle was a wonderful mother and grandmother who exemplified this passage from I Thessalonians 4:11-12: "Aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before others and be dependent on no one." Friends may visit French - University Chapel on Sunday, June 17, 2012, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. A celebration of Myrtle's life will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012, 1:00 pm at Netherwood Park Church of Christ, 5101 Indian School Rd NE.
