MAXIMILIAN G. Born November 1, 1938 in Munich, Germany, Max, 73, passed away on May 30, 2012 after a serious illness. He was the son of Georg and Johanna (Hieber) Spreng. Max emigrated to the United States in the 1950's. He served in the U.S. Army as a tank driver. He began a long and successful career as a plumber in New York and continued when he moved to Rio Rancho in 1973. Max retired from Kirtland Air Force Base having worked in the heating and plumbing shop. He is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Anneliese Spreng; his three daughters: Kim Spreng and husband Eddie Sy, and grandchildren Julianna and Max; Nancy and Stanley Allred, and granddaughters Mary and Kelly; Elke Zinnert, and granddaughter Bonnie and husband Eugene as well as relatives in Germany.
