ONESIMO S. Age 86, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on May 26, 2012. Mr. Chavez is survived by his sister, Mary R. Gurule; many nieces, nephews; grandnieces, and grandnephews; and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. Mr. Chavez was preceded in death by his parents, Elias and Irene Chavez; brother, George Chavez; and sister, Josephine Sellers. Mr. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church, and a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac SW from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. A Communion Service will be celebrated following the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. Committal Service is scheduled to follow the Communion Service at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Pallbearers will be Dennis Gurule, Fred Sanchez, Charlie Jinzo, Peter Duran, Quincy Madrigal, and Ramon Jinzo.
