VERDIE MAE CHILDRESS A longtime resident of Mountainair and Edgewood, New Mexico, Verdie was called home by the Lord on Monday, May 21, 2012 at the age of 84. She was a member of Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood, the Stanley Union Church and was associated with the Little Britches Rodeo Association. Verdie is survived by her husband of 45 years, George Robertson; as well as numerous other family members and friends who loved and will miss her greatly. A Graveside Funeral Service was held at the Stanley Cemetery on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Pastor John Nash will officiate.
