RAMONA M. Age 81, a resident of Rio Rancho, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012. She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia S. Earl of Las Vegas, NV, and Dorothy Garcia of Los Lunas, NM.; one son, Patrick J. Garcia of Rio Rancho, NM; nine grandchildren, Jesse, Chad, Tiffany, Ramona, Allison, Jon, Patrick James, Sierra and Amanda Sky; seven great-grandchildren, Andrew J, Angelica, Audreyana, Jade, Briskell, Gabriel and Grace; two half brothers, Adolpho and Juliot; two half sisters, June and Elsie; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, including two special cousins, Mary Ann and Fermin. Ramona was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Gentile; and one grandson, Drew Earl. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary DAV, Rio Rancho Chapter. Ramona's passions were her family, sewing, gardening, cooking and going to the casinos in Las Vegas, NV. She was also involved in a private sewing group and breakfast club. Ramona was the department head for the Holiday Midtown Hotel as the executive housekeeper for many years. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at French ~ West Side Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 25, 2012, 12:00 noon at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, 87124. Interment will take place on Friday, May 25, 2:00 p.m., at Vista Verde Cemetery. Friends may visit on Thursday, May 24 from 5:30 pm until time of the Rosary.
