DORELLA LORETTA Beloved mother, nana, sister, and friend triumphed over her suffering and went home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 6, 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Montoya and husband Carlos; son, Roman Montoya and wife Lori; brothers, Joseph Carter, Amadeo Carter, Fred Carter, Jerry Carter; sister, Pauline Carter; grandchildren C J Montoya, Ariana Montoya, Gabriel Montoya, RJ Montoya, Andre Sanchez-Montoya, Isaac Montoya, and Xavier Montano. She was preceded in death by her parents Amadeo and Reina Carter. Dorella was one of the first female APD Officers, graduating from the Police Academy in 1968. She retired in 1987 and became a Federal Court Security Officer. Dorella was an active member of the FOP. She will always be remembered for her faith, generosity, compassion, strength, courage, and being an exceptional mother and grandmother. Dorella was a member of Calvary of Albuquerque and services will be held there on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends may visit on May 10, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at French - University.
