BETTY JEAN Age 82, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, New Mexico, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, New Mexico on April 30, 2012. She was born on February 4, 1930 in Clayton, New Mexico to the late Dessie Viola Stewart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved music, taught piano, and also enjoyed dancing and traveling. She was a member of the Order Eastern Star in Springer, NM, member of the Las Vegas Women's Club, member of Telephone Pioneers and member of the Aristocrat R.V. Club. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dessie Viola Stewart; sister, Ruby Watson; and brothers, Bill Contine and Jimmy Contine. She is survived by her loving husband, Clyde Turner of the family home; daughter, Trish Gennaro and Rock of Dallas, TX; sons, Steve Turner and Nina of Albuquerque, NM, and Dale Turner and Dolores of Las Vegas, NM; grandchildren, Jennifer Lewis and husband Jeff, Danny Ciddio and wife Rachel, Jeanette Turner, Dawn Rupley and husband Casey, Ryan and Mark Turner; great-grandchildren, Marley and Rowan Lewis, Santana, Adrina and Orlando Ciddio, James Turner, Myah and Jacob Rupley; sister, Tommy Davis of Liberal, Kansas; brother-in-law, Bill Turner of Sacramento, CA; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service has been scheduled for Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church 1000 Douglas Avenue Las Vegas, NM with Pastor Randy Campbell officiating. Honorary bearers will be Joe Lanphere, Rudy Laumbach, Don Bovia, Bill Contine, Terry Bass, Rock Gennaro, Danny Ciddio, Casey Rupley, Ryan and Mark Turner.
