ALICE NEVAREZ 1916 - 2012 known as "Licha" to her family and friends, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Licha was a resident of Albuquerque, formerly of Belen and Santa Clara, NM. Services were held on Thursday at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Santa Clara Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery. The family of Alice "Licha" Gandara would like to thank Father John C. Daniel of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church for administering the Sacrament of Last Rites, Ambercare Hospice staffs from the Belen and Albuquerque offices, Dr. Joseph Aragon and Dr. Goldman and the staff of Southwest Medical in Los Lunas. Gratitude is also extended for the kindness shown through thoughts, prayers, food and support during their loss.
