Obituary for DANOFF

HYMAN J. Age 96, passed away on April 23, 2012. He was born to Sam and Rose Danoff in Danoffville, New Mexico and was the eldest son of five children. He was preceded in death by Bertha Danoff, his loving wife of 57 years. He is survived by his son, Michael L. Danoff and his wife, Margo of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his son, Robert Danoff and his wife, Eve of Paradise Valley, Arizona; grandsons, Troy Danoff of Phoenix, Arizona, Brett and Ryan Danoff of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Max and Sam Danoff of Paradise Valley, Arizona. He proudly served in the Army in the Philippines and Japan during World War II. Hyman was a lifelong member of Congregation Albert, where he was a member of the Men's Club and was also a volunteer. He worked as a retailer most of his life and was the general manager of Simon's Department Store for many years. Hyman was a devoted husband and father, a proud grandfather and a person who cared deeply about his family and friends. He treasured his independence. He loved spending time with his family and watching his grandsons' sporting events. He touched many people's lives, enjoyed life to the fullest extent and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at Congregation Albert, 3800 Louisiana Blvd. NE. Graveside services will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
