Obituary for PRINKEY

ERNESTINE F. (LIERMANN) New Mexican citizen for over 60 years- born in Linton, ND on March 9, 1916 and died April 12, 2012. Ernestine was married to Merle M. Prinkey for 49 years, who pre-deceased in 1997. Ernestine preceded her two beloved sisters- Alice L. Seukow and Louise Kirkemo. She was a mother to two beloved sons, Merle M. Jr. "Buggs"- died in 1967- and Benjamin A. Prinkey. Ernestine has left behind her legacy of son- Benjamin A. Prinkey; two grandsons, Kyle B. Prinkey and Ryan M. Prinkey; two step grandsons, Cody Prinkey and David Martinez, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. A short memorial service will be held at Trinity Methodist Church in Albuquerque, NM. Ernestine would like to be remembered for her role as a lifetime republican and a devoted member to Trinity Methodist Church and was a graduate of the University of New Mexico, Master of Fine Arts. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution as she served her country as a First Lieutenant overseas for 5 years, in which she cared for the injured in Great Britain, Italy, and Africa throughout WWII as a surgical nurse.
