MICHAEL J. Chief Master Sergeant (USAF Ret), 84, entered into eternal rest on April 10, 2012. Mike was born on January 17, 1928, in Donora, PA to Matt and Margaret Kosor, the youngest of four siblings. Mike served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant following 30 years of service. After his retirement from the Air Force, Mike worked for 10 years as the branch manager at Sandia Laboratories Credit Union, Kirtland AFB. Mike married the love of his life, Rose, on April 18, 1953. Together they moved multiple times during his military career before settling in Albuquerque in 1972 where they stayed for 40 years before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada to be with his son and daughter-in-law shortly before his passing. Mike loved to bowl, watch sports and was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a devout Catholic and a long-time parishioner at the Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Albuquerque. Those he left behind to celebrate his life are his loving wife Rose, his son Colonel (USAF Ret) Michael J. Kosor, Jr. and his wife Cynthia, of Las Vegas, NV, his daughter, Karen Robles and her husband Robert of Albuquerque, three grandchildren, Jacqueline and Kara Evans of Albuquerque, and Chris Kosor of Orlando, FL, four step-grandchildren, Ryan and Collin Brooks and Ryan and Randall Robles, sister Mitzi Garino of Smithton, PA, sister-in-law Shirley Kosor of West Newton, PA, and many nieces and nephews. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Ferguson, brother Matthew Kosor and brothers-in-law David Ferguson and Luis Garino. Mike touched many hearts with his kindness, outgoing nature and sense of humor. He adored his wife, Rose, who meant the world to him, his son and daughter, who he proudly bragged about at every opportunity, and his grandchildren, who held a very special place in his heart. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 12:40 p.m., April 25, 2012, prior to internment with full military honors at the Southern Nevada Veterans' Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada.
