CELLA "SALLY" BLANCHE WILLIAMS SCHAEFER Of Rio Communities, graduated to Heaven on Thursday, March 29, 2012. One of 12 children, Sally was born June 8, 1927 in Loving, NM to Roxie and Frank Williams. They owned a farm in Loving. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1944. During WWII, she worked as a Navy secretary in San Diego. She married Paul Schaefer, a Naval Aviator, in Carlinville, IL on May 31, 1947. They had two children together, Paulette and Mike. Paul was killed in May, 1951 while serving as a combat pilot in the Korean War. She married Joe T. Milavec on June 29, 1952 in Roswell. They had two children together, Vince and Sally Ann. Joe preceded her in death in January, 1995. She is survived by her longtime, beloved companion, Lemoin "Hoppi" Hopkins; children, Paulette V. Misanko and husband Mel, Michael A. Schaefer and wife Sheri, Vincent T. Milavec and wife Leslie, Sally Ann Milavec and husband Hugo Sevcik. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Desiree, Stefan, Sarah, Shaun, Nikki, Logan, Jade, Talaya, Adam, Jenna; and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters; and three brothers. She lived in Los Lunas since December, 1965. She and her husband, Joe Milavec, were owners of Milavec Realty. She was well thought of in the community and did numerous charitable contributions to countless individuals and various organizations including Boys and Girls Ranches in Belen. She was also recognized as an "Unsung Hero" for her work in providing coats for elementary school children in Los Lunas. She was a loving, generous, compassionate wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She loved people, playing bridge, and belonged to three bridge groups until the end of her life. She also loved to read and dance, and have friends over for dinner, fun and games. She was a feisty red-head who made everyone's life better. Sally's funeral will be Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Church Alive, 4601 Avocet Rd.
