JUANITA F. Age 94, a longtime resident of Corrales, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Jo Cruikshank of Rio Rancho, Ann Garren of Rio Rancho, and Kay Schmidt and husband, Evan, of Corrales; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brothers-in-law, Thomas and William Dannenberg. Mrs. Mattox was preceded in death by her husband, Welch Mattox and daughter, Sheila Vaughn Davenport. With her husband, Welch, Juanita owned and operated the original grocery store and meat market in Corrales. After retiring, she worked at Corrales Elementary. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 6, 2012 at French - University Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
