CAROLINA CELIA Age 88, of Albuquerque, NM passed away in Tucumcari on Thursday, February 23, 2012 after suffering from kidney failure. She is survived by daughter, Theresa (Gilbert) Chavez of Albuquerque, NM, daughter, Carmel Pino of Tucumcari, NM, son, Louis (Rena) Lucero, Sr. of Cuba, NM, daughter, Margaret (Johnny) Bustos of Alamosa, CO, and daughter, Patsy (Randy Bitter) Wilson of Cleveland, OK; son-in-law, Esequiel Granillo of Kermit, TX; 24 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and sister, Bennie Muniz of Taos, NM. Carolina was preceded in death by her husband, Santiago Lucero; father, Jose M. Gutierrez; mother, Cleotilde S. Gutierrez; children, Tony, Eddie, Margie, Bessie, Ruby and Albert; great-grandsons, Richard Lucero and Angelo Alires; great-granddaughter, Adriana Wilson; and son-in-law, Joe Pino. Carolina was a loving mother and homemaker. She loved to go to church at Highland Baptist as well as spend time with her family. Friends may visit on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at French-Lomas Chapel. Funeral services will be held on February 29, 2012, 9:00 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church, 417 Palomas Dr SE. Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
