CARLA LOU Loving wife and mother, died peacefully on February 19, 2012, in San Mateo, California. Carla, 81, was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, William A. McCord, and daughter, Karen L. McCord. She was born on October 9, 1930 in Las Animas, Colorado, to Frank and Iris Hardy. Carla lived a rich and full life, loved the outdoors and caring for her family. She will be forever loved, and dearly missed. Her spirit will continue to live on in all of us. She is survived by three children, Julie Gannam (Greg), of San Mateo, CA, Janet Rowland (Robert) of Tucson, AZ, and Andrew McCord, of Eagle, CO; grandchildren, Andrew Gannam (Kari) and Rachael Rowland; and sister, Suzie McCartney of Santa Rosa, CA. She will be laid to rest with her husband, William A. McCord, at Santa Fe National Cemetery. A private memorial service will be held at Alumni Chapel at the University of New Mexico.
