JAMES JOSEPH SR. Jim passed from this Life on February 20, 2012. He was born in Bibo, NM on January 9, 1925. He served as a US Army medic in the Pacific Theater in World War II and graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in business. He married Elinor Shaya on September 11, 1956 and together they raised six children. In addition to his wife of 56 years, Jim is survived by his sister Josephine Doherty and his children Jaynie, Jim, Tim and wife Karen, Chris and wife DeAnna, Sharon and husband Matt, Michael and wife Kristi. His grandchildren include Jenaya and husband Scott Philip, Greg, Emily, Madison, Alissa, Nicole, Abigail and Olivia. His family and many friends will miss his generous heart, gentle spirit and unwavering faith. Jim's Rosary and Mass of the Celebration of Life will be at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 213 Smith St., Grants, NM at 1:00 p.m. on Friday February 24, 2012. Interment will take place at 11:30 am on Saturday, February 25 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carmelite Nuns at 49 Mount Carmel Rd.; Santa Fe, NM; 87505 or to the charity of your choice.
