Obituary for STILGEBOUER

SALLY A longtime resident of Rio Rancho, passed away from ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) on February 3, 2012 at the age of 67. She was a member or Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church, serving at one time as an elder and in various other capacities. She set a good example for those who knew her by praying and meditating on the Bible each morning from 6:00 to 7:00. She also served her community through Welcome Wagon, the Rio Grande Nature Center, various community orchestras and was an avid supporter of A Peaceful Habitation, transistional housing for women who have been released from prison. They are helped in their Christian growth and in searching for jobs where they can become self-supporting. Prior to her move to Rio Rancho in 1994, Sally was a social worker for the County of Santa Clara, State of California. She had received her Bachelor's Degree from Brigham Young University. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Rawson and Louise Duncan Rawson. She leaves behind Larry Stilgebouer, her husband of 22 years: three children and their spouses; and seven grandchildren. Sally also counted as her family Larry's son and wife, Larry's daughter, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:00.
