WALLACE L. Age 91, passed away December 31,2011. He is survived by sons, Wayne and (Martha) of Trinidad, Co, David and (Denise) of Jemez Springs, NM; daughter, Becky Hight and husband Steve of Rio Rancho NM; grandchildren Dr. Shannon Pritchard of Athens, GA, Eli Pritchard and wife Brandi of Pueblo, Co, Baines Pritchard of Telluride,CO, Jasun Pritchard of Gilbert, AZ, Jessica Wiles and husband Justin of Richmond, Tx, Steve Hight of Glendale, AZ, Amy Price and husband Buddy of Duncan, Az; great-grandchildren; Blake and Avery Pritchard, Jamie and Brandon Price, Wayne Hight and great-great-grandson Smith Wiles. Wallace was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Myrtle Pritchard and his beloved wife of 68 years, Ruth, who passed away July 3, 2011. Wallace was born December 9, 1920 in Weatherford, Texas, he lived in a dugout in Pedernal,NM with his parents in the early 1920's while his father tried dry farming pinto beans.The family moved to Yuma, AZ then Parker, Az where Wallace graduated from Parker High School in 1939. Wallace attended ASU in Tempe, AZ then enlisted in the Army Air Corp in 1941. He was a veteran of WWII. Wallace retired from Sandia Corporation in 1974. After retirement, Wallace and Ruth moved to Jemez Springs,NM and relocated to Rio Rancho in 1993. Wallace was known as Jemez Toy Man for many years buying and selling GI Joe dolls and other collectibles. He and Ruth enjoyed selling their toys and making friends at the Albuquerque Flea Market in the early years and traveling in their van and trailer selling at toy and collectible shows across the US. Wallace was a loving son,husband, father and grandfather and an honest and honorable man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. His care was entrusted to French Mortuary.
