ALICE MAE SAENZ Our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Friend, passed away on November 6, 2011 at a hospital in Las Vegas, NV after complications from medical treatment following injuries from a tragic auto accident. She was a resident of Las Vegas, NV after moving from Albuquerque, NM in 2008. She was born in Las Cruces, NM to Alice and Marcos Saenz on October 27, 1922. She married Albert Rodriguez of Santa Fe following his return at the end of WW II. Her husband and beautiful daughter, Olivia Rodriguez, preceded her in death. She is survived by daughters, Laura Weart and husband, Gregory S. Weart and Marianne Rodriguez; granddaughter, Jocelyn R. Weart; brothers, Henry B., Adolph B., Marcos Jr., Daniel, Samuel, Willie, and Carl; a sister, Ernestine Chavarria. Alice was deeply devoted to her family, was loved by all who knew her as a sweet, gentle, caring, deeply religious and loving person with an enormous heart willing to help anyone in need. As the current Matriarch of the family, she will be missed by members of her family. She was a loyal employee and project manager for Sandia National Laboratories SNL for 28 years, retiring in 1985. Services will be held on December 5, 2011 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd SW, Albuq, with a Rosary at 8:15 a.m. and Mass at 9:00 a.m. officiated by Father Nick. After lunch at the Parish Hall, the funeral services will proceed to the Santa Fe National Cemetery for burial.
