JANE ELLEN Age 67, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1973 and formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at her home. She was a registered nurse and a homemaker. Jane Ellen was born on April 17, 1944 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Almond and Marjorie (Scickles) Rhodes. She was a 1962 graduate of Highland High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico and a 1973 graduate of Pikes Peak Community College and later received her Registered Nursing Certificate from Pikes Peak Community College. She was a nurse at St. Francis Medical Center, Memorial Hospital, and numerous nursing homes, long term care, and traveling nurse's associations. She enjoyed classical music, the opera, cooking, and entertaining in her home. She married Milton E. Fisher on October 12, 1996 at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church in Colorado Springs. Milton survives and lives in Colorado Springs. She is also survived by her daughter, Monica (husband, Kirk) Chavez-Kinney of Peoria, Arizona; and her son, Gregory Chavez of Colorado Springs; She has three wonderful grandchildren, Rheana, Ryne, and Kendra. She is also survived by Milton's children: Lisa (husband, Robert) Partin of Arlington, Texas; Quinn (husband, Scott) Hatala of Monroe, Washington; and Chad Fisher of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by Milton's grandchildren: Robbie, John, Brooke, and Serena. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel.
