ISAIAS "IKE" JR. Age 88, died Friday, November 18, 2011 in Albuquerque. He was one of 14 children and one of four brothers to fight in WWII. Overseas, he was awarded six Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart for his service in the Army. After the war, Ike spent time in what was then the Alaska Territory surveying for 12 years. Upon returning to Albuquerque, he began working for Sandia National Laboratories, retiring after 21 years. Ike was free to pursue his love of farming. He raised livestock and horses and grew acres of corn and chile. Ike will always be remembered for being there to support his children and grandchildren whether it was a sporting event or a school play. He deeply impacted every one of his family member's lives. He is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years, Cecilia; his children, Louisa (Colin) DeGattis, Matthew (Donna) Gutierrez, Teresa (John) Stephens and Paula (Jeff) Bogdan, ten grandchildren: Alyssa, Antonio and Amelia Cordova, Michael, Ashley, Aaron, Zachary and Isaias Gutierrez, Sam and Eli Bogdan and great grandson, Jonah Gonzales. Ike is also survived by brother Robert (Norma) Gutierrez and sisters Alice Stuckman, Angie Atkinson and Mary Carver. Funeral mass will be celebrated 9am, Tuesday, November 22 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd NW. Interment will be at 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Santa Fe National Cemetery with military honors.
