ROBERT E. "BOB" Age, 88, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, went peacefully to his eternal rest on Thursday, October 13, 2011 while surrounded by many of his family members. His health had been failing for nearly a year. He was born in Nova Scotia in 1922, but spent most of his adult life on Long Island, New York, where he engaged in the grocery business. Bob served in the United States Army from 1941-1947 during World War II. He met his beloved wife Dorothy in England while in the service of his country. They had been married for 65 years at the time of his death. Bob and Dorothy moved to New Mexico in 1975 to be near their daughters. He was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, Eugene Teatum Council 6696 in Rio Rancho, and as a Fourth Degree Knight he held several offices over the years. He was preceded in death by son Roy in 1973. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Gloria Bullis and husband Don of Rio Rancho, NM, Maureen Orgass and husband Howard of Logan, NM; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Bodami and husband Dominick of Commack, NY; numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given in Robert's honor to the Knights of Columbus, 6696 Council, 1020 Veranda Drive SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124, 505-891-3996 or to Sol Amor Hospice, 7301 Indian School Road NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, 505-821-2500. Cremation has taken place. A Rosary will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m., on the evening of November 10, 2011 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., on the morning of November 11, 2011 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
