ABELINO JR. Age 74, a resident of Ledoux, New Mexico for the past 15 years, and formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on Monday, November 1, 2011 at his home. He was born on October 7, 1937 in Ledoux, New Mexico to Abelino Martinez Sr. and Feloniz Vigil Martinez. He worked for the United States Postal Service as a Clerk for 35 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed spending time with his family and made numerous trips to Albuquerque, NM to attend birthday gatherings and other special days. He was an avid gardener, he enjoyed working with wood, fishing, cooking, playing pool and playing his guitar. He was a member of the St. Gertrude's Parish in Mora, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abelino and Feloniz Martinez; daughters, Michelle Martinez and Deanna Martinez; brothers, Leo Martinez and Feliciano Martinez; sister, Sencionita Lucier. He is survived by his daughters, Renee Mtz. Candelaria and husband Chris, Janet Garcia and husband Alvin all of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Esteban Candelaria, Abelino Garcia, Andres Candelaria, Mateo Garcia, and Eliana Garcia; mother of his daughters, Sylvia Baca of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Martina Lucero and husband Rudy, Presel Romero and husband Macario of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Beatrice Trujillo and husband Leroy of Las Vegas, NM; brother, Ruben Martinez and wife Elsie of Clayton, NM; sister, Consuelo Montano and friend Corsenio Pando of El Aguila, NM; sister-in-law Delia Martinez of Santa Fe, NM; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Rosary services will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 7:00 pm at St. Gertrude Church in Mora, NM. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 9:00 am at St. Gertrude's Parish in Mora, NM with Father John McHugh as Celebrant. Interment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE in Albuquerque, NM, 87102. Serving as casket bearers will be the following: William Lucier, Ramon Candelaria, Benjamin Trujillo, Raymond Marquez, David Gallegos and Martin Trujillo.
