Obituary for LOVELESS

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Friday November 04, 2011

JEFFERSON MAGEE Age 59, passed away quietly on Monday, October 31st, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife Anne; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Gabrielle; two siblings, James Loveless and Marilyn Winfree of Texas; and an assortment of nieces and nephews. Jeff was born to Roy and Jane Loveless in Fort Worth, Texas. He was the youngest of four children. He received his B.A. in history and political science from Texas Wesleyan University. He moved to New Mexico in the early 1980's. He loved the mountains and deserts of New Mexico, but he never lost his love of all things Texan. Though Jeff had a number of occupations, the one he enjoyed most was as a travel agent at Kirtland AFB. He loved to travel himself. His sense of humor and expertise made him a favorite with his customers. His avocation was genealogy; he had traced the branches of his and his wife's family tree and had over 11,000 links. Jeff was a member of Monte Vista Christian Church in Albuquerque. Until his health prevented him from doing so, he sang in the choir. He was also the head of the Shepherding program. The family requests that memorials be given to the church to be used for the choir, youth, and parish nursing programs. The memorial service for Jeff will be held at Monte Vista Christian Church at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 5th. His cremated remains will be in-niched at Sunset Memorial Park.
