MARGARET CORA Age 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1980, passed away October 17, 2011. She is survived by her husband, Marlin F. Aker; her son Marlin Aker, Jr. and his, wife Joyce, of Albuquerque; Larry Aker and his wife, Hazel of Poway, Calif.; and Susan Eubank and her husband, Danny of San Marcos Calif. The family includes six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Margaret and Marlin were married on June 7, 1936 in Lordsburg, NM and, with the well wishes of their many wonderful friends and family, had recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. Margaret was a member of the Netherwood Park Congregation of the Church of Christ and her faith and family were the central elements of her long, happy and productive life. Her gentle charm and wit were with her to the end of her days and were a joy to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Netherwood Park, 5101 Indian School Rd. NE. Interment will follow at the McCall/Aker family cemetery, N.M.337, Tijeras at Yrisarri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ponderosa Christian Camp, 12300 Indian School Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112.
