DR. ROBERT V. 1921 - 2011 Dr. Gildner was a resident of Albuquerque for many years. Shortly after establishing his retirement residency, he became actively involved in community leadership to help improve streets and other facilities for the fast growing city on the Westside. Dr. Gildner was a Methodist minister and served for 40 years in the Iowa Conference of Methodist Churches. He was the 10th generation in Christian ministry in his family, dating back to his ancestral Church of England. Dr. Gildner is survived by his beloved wife and partner in the ministry, Arlie Gildner; his son, Robert Wood Gildner; siblings; and extended families. His diverse interests leave many friends who enriched his life. Private services and entombment will be held at Western Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum in Palos Verdes, California.
