STEVEN A long-time resident of Roy, NM, age 87, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend, was embraced by the Lord and taken to his heavenly home, Monday, October 17, 2011. Steve was born December 26, 1923 in Mead, Colorado and was known for his smile and his ability to make people laugh. If love could have saved him, he would have lived forever. He is survived by his wife, Alice and their three children, Chris and wife Janice from California and Tony and Steve from Albuquerque; grandchildren, Jolie from Albuquerque and Ronnie and Krista from California; great-grandchildren, Ariana, Christian, Nicholas, Cassandra, Sierra, Maddie, Jarron and Abbie; great-great-grandson, Elias from California; brother, Serafin, from Pueblo, CO; many nieces, nephews and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Teofila; his father, Lizardo; daughter, Elizabeth; his sisters, Rosanna and Delfinia; his brothers, Avaristo and Domingo. Rosary will be recited, Friday, October 21, at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerque. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 22, at 10:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel Ave. NE, Albuquerque with Father Mike Shea, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery located at Wyoming and Paseo del Norte N.E. Pallbearers will be Jerry Lopez, Elmer Medina, Patrick Montano, Joseph Romero, Joseph Tafoya and Abel Trujillo; Honorary Pallbearers Tony Martinez and Jose Trujillo.
